Gold Coast - Day 2 Tambourine Mountain

We started the day with some yummy pancakes and egg benedict and set off for our adventurous road trip to Tambourine Mountain. It took us about 45 minutes drive before we arrive at the foot of the mountain.

1. The Nut Shed

For those who are in hopes of getting a variety of nuts, you will be disappointed as they only sell Macadamia Nuts. Nevertheless I thought they make good souvenirs, so I bought a few flavors to try.

2. The Witches Falls Winery

The Witches Fall Winery
Here they offered wine tasting and after trying a few and we ended up getting 3 bottles dessert wine. It is pink guava and watermelon flavoured moscato that leaves a light and fruity aftertaste.

3. Lunch at Delivino

4. Shopping at Eagle Heights
After lunch, we took a stroll along the long stretch of shops which was highly patronised by both tourists and locals.

FairyTale Horse Carriage

5. Glow Worm Cave
This is an educational tour on the birth of glow worms, how they mate and their behaviour. In order to preserve this insects, these glow worms are reared in an enclosed man-made cave and released into the forest when they are fit for survival on their own.

Gold Coast Itinenary - Day 1 Paradise Country & Cavill Mall

We are going on a road trip to Gold Coast !

We arrived at Gold Coast at 7.35am via Scoot and called up the Apex, the car rental company to pick up at the airport to collect our car. For 7 days of rental, it cost AUD $348 which includes GPS and car insurance.

My Personal Driver

Since it was too early to check-in, we wasted no time in fixing the GPS and getting ourselves comfortable in the car before we headed to Paradise Country! The entrance tickets costs AUD39.90 per pax and it includes BBQ lunch.

They had sheep shearing demo, horse riding show.

Honestly, can you skip this place if you are intending to go Koala Pine Sanctuary.

We proceeded to Spindrift On The Beach Apartment for our check-in and what amazed us was how the room key was left in an envelope and placed in a safe deposit box.  You have to give the owners a call before they provide you with a password to the safe deposit box.

We paid SGD$106 per night and this includes an allocated parking lot in the basement garage and wifi. It is perfect venue for us considering we do not have to pay extra for parking.

The Fully Equipped Kitchen

Our initial plan cook our own dinner for the next few days since there is nothing much to do at night. However after much consideration, we concluded that its not worth the effort going through the preparation and washing up.

After a short nap, we proceeded to Cavill Mall for dinner.  Since it was our first visit there, we had no choice but to park at Hilton.

Can you believe it cost AUD$6 for half an hour ?!
